Who We Are
Rooted in the communities we serve. Committed to the futures we build
At A Glance
AfriHealth Arc is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to transforming healthcare access in Kenya’s most underserved regions—beginning with the arid and semi-arid lands of the north. We believe that everyone, regardless of where they live, deserves timely, dignified, and culturally responsive healthcare. Yet in regions like Mandera, Wajir, and beyond, barriers like distance, poverty, gender inequality, and climate shocks make that a daily struggle.
What makes us different is not just what we do—it’s how we do it. At the heart of AfriHealth Arc’s work is a belief in proximity: that community health workers, local clinics, and frontline caregivers know best what their people need. We partner with these local actors to co-design solutions that work in the real world—not just on paper. Our initiatives span mobile clinics, maternal health outreach, emergency referral systems, and climate-resilient service delivery models.
We are still growing—but our direction is clear. With bold partnerships, youth-led energy, and deep community trust, AfriHealth Arc is building a future where no mother has to walk 20 kilometers to give birth, where no child dies of a treatable illness, and where health equity is not a dream, but a lived reality
Bridging Gaps. Empowering Health
Targeted solutions at the intersection of geography, inequality, and innovation
At AfriHealth Arc, we tackle the root causes that limit healthcare access in arid and underserved regions like Mandera. Our approach focuses on key social determinants of health — from extreme heat and climate-driven isolation to the shortage of frontline workers and digital infrastructure. We are building a community-first model of care that adapts to harsh conditions and brings services closer to those most in need.
